Robert has been painting since the early 70's. Most of his recent works have been acrylic on canvass. He uses mostly bold, primary colors but occasionally works with earth or pastel shades. His style has been called abstract expressionist or contemporary abstract. For over 30 years, Robert has been exhibiting in various shows and galleries.

He has a BFA degree in painting and design from the University of Toledo School of Design at the Toledo Museum of Art. Robert has been employed at Libbey Glass for over 40 years as its Design and Creative Director. He's responsible for new product development projects worldwide, color and design trends, trade shows, and gives general design direction to Libbey's facilities globally. He's traveled the world looking for design, fashion, and color trends.

His travel and design sense are a major influence on the colors and compositions of his paintings. He has a studio in his home in Toledo's Historic Old West End. He also has a studio and home in Saugatuck, MI where he does most of his painting.

Robert does a lot of custom artwork for his clients and is flexible on color schemes and design preferences. Prices for custom artwork will depend on size and complexity. He will work with you to accommodate your wishes, but keep in mind that his style is abstract contemporary.
